Partnership is a core Wexner Foundation value, reflected in our goals, our programming, and our community relationships. To that end, and in order to enable communities to take ownership of their future and leverage leadership development opportunities, Leslie and Abigail Wexner decided in recent years to engage funding partners. These partners ensure the strength and vitality of their own communities by sharing the responsibility for educating the next cadre of Jewish communal leaders.
The Wexner Foundation and the local community funding partners share the expense of the two-year program equally, at a total cost of $350,000 each. Local funders might include individual philanthropists, private foundations, the local Jewish Federation, and Alumni of the Wexner Heritage Program. This joint investment allows the program to be offered at no cost to participants.
In recent years, community partnerships have brought the Wexner Heritage Program to Atlanta, Baltimore, Boca Raton, Chicago, Cleveland, Denver, East Bay (CA), Houston, Los Angeles, MetroWest New Jersey, Montreal, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, San Diego, the San Francisco Bay area, Washington, DC, and Westchester, NY.
